However, like most flooring materials, they’re not self-cleaning or completely impervious to stains and dirt. Proper care and maintenance are key to ensuring their long-term performance. Sweep the floors regularly. Dust and dirt particles might be small in size, but they can be abrasive on floors. They’re likely to cause scratches on the polyaspartic coating, especially in areas with heavy foot traffic. Keep these walking surfaces clean and dirt-free through regular sweeping using a soft-bristled broom or dry mop. Do this and you’ll minimize the wear and tear on your polyaspartic floors.
Wipe up spills immediately. Unlike standard concrete floors, polyaspartic floor coatings don’t absorb fluids quickly. However, certain liquids and chemicals like alcohol, gasoline, oil and hydrocarbon solvent can stain and dull the coating prematurely, especially if left on the surface for a prolonged period of time.
